ALFI Private Equity Fund is an independent private equity fund with investment potential about 80 mio EUR. The Fund is focusing on investing in developing, innovative and fast-growing first class SMEs and midcaps based or doing business predominantly in Slovenia and in Croatia. We focus on identifying business opportunities in companies and in teaming up with people with whom we share passion and a strategic vision.

Miran Kovač, Partner and Managing Director
Miran Kovač is a Partner and Managing Director. Prior to joining ALFI PE he spent eight years as a CFO at Bisnode Southern Markets, a leading European Rating agency covering 18 countries in Europe with headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. Bisnode Southern Markets is today the leading regional rating company, which has grown both organically and inorganically, via several mergers and acquisitions over the last eight years. Mr. Kovač actively participated and lead the integration processes in all of them. Prior to joining Bisnode Southern Markets, Mr. Kovač worked for five years at Poteza Group. Mr. Kovač holds a degree as Bachelor of Science from the Faculty of Economics, Ljubljana, Slovenia (2007).

Tone Pekolj, Partner and Managing Director
Tone Pekolj is a Partner and Managing Director. Prior to joining ALFI PE he spent five years as a partner at KF Finance d.o.o. where he was responsible for M&A and companies\' restructuring. He led numerus projects in the field of due-diligence, valuation, pre and post merger strategies, feasibility studies, etc. Prior to joining KF Finance, Mr. Pekolj worked for seven years (2008 – 2014) at Abanka Vipa d.d. as Head of corporate finance and as Director of Investment banking responsible for brokerage, pension fund, analytics, corporate finance and M&A. Mr. Pekolj has ensured the efficacy of many projects and in many occasions, he proved capable to be a team leader, which is the most important reason he was assigned to lead or co-lead many strategic projects of the bank. Prior to that he was a Treasury manager in Generali Insurance company responsible for asset management of life, nonlife portfolio and pension fund Leon2. Mr. Pekolj holds an Masters degree from Faculty of Economics, Ljubljana, Slovenia (2005) and Bachelor of Science from Faculty of Economics, Ljubljana, Slovenia (2002). He is an author of several articles about M&A and PE.

We are pleased to announce the successful completitin of first closing of ALFI PE Fund in the amount of EUR 46 million EUR.

As a national market leader in alternative asset management, we are a trusted partner to many of the top institutional and individual investors who see the slovenia and Croatia region\'s business potential. Our corner investors are EIF and SID Banka under the Slovene Equity anf Growth Investment Programme (SEGIP).
We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the first closing of ALFI PE Fund in the amount of EUR 46 million. It’s important that investors in the fund include both international financial institutions who see the Slovenia and Croatia region’s business potential and local investors who know the market. A second closing is planned within august 2019 when we plan to reach size of EUR 51 million. Final closing of the fund is scheduled in 2020, with the intention of reaching the fund’s target size of EUR 70 million.
We start the fund’s active investment activity by keeping our promises to the investors. End of June 2019 we have closed first investment in the company Trival antene. Trival antene is one of the leading manufacturers of antennas and antenna masts for HF, VHF and UHF wireless communications with prospects to further expand its operations on global markets.
We also continue negotiations on the other potential investments with of companies that fit the investment strategy. The team is analysing the market and looking for viable businesses that could expand or that are in need of strategic changes, as well as family businesses facing succession issues.
